The ENSIM is an engineering school in Le Mans that trains acoustician engineers. The students use I-SIMPA acoustics software for practical works associated to a teaching unit that concerns architectural and environmental acoustics. Furthermore, each year, some student projects are related to architectural and environmental acoustics and require numerical simulations that are performed with I-SIMPA. For example, in 2013, I-SIMPA has been used to design a passive acoustical treatment of a playhouse. When developing a model with I-SIMPA, the students appreciate the simplicity of use of the convivial graphical interface, and the various appropriated options of post-processing. For many engineering applications, I-SIMPA is an alternative and attractive numerical tool that offers the most useful functionalities.
